Are you ready for Parma for a Farmer Month?
As we are gearing up for our biggest month of parmas, farmers, and fundraising, we want to thank our supporters for your generous commitment to this campaign.
Parma for a Farmer began as a completely community driven initiative that grew with incredible momentum.
In August 2018, Bendigo resident Amanda Kinross made posted on a local community Facebook group which created an unforeseen amount of commotion.
The simple suggestion of rhyming ‘parma‘ with ‘farmer‘ to raise funds for rural communities was picked up immediately, and before she knew it the campaign was off with venues across Australia getting involved.
Here at Rural Aid, we were (and still are) amazed at the intense generosity and passion the community showed our farmers. This campaign was created for the community, by the community.
That does not happen very often.
So thank you for being a part of this incredible ride. There is no limit to what the community can achieve when working for the same goal, and so far you have been able to raise an astonishing amount of money for our drought-stricken farmers.
To celebrate Parma for a Farmer’s first birthday, we are going to throw a nation-wide party! Register in July in time for Parma for a Farmer Month in August!
